Why Am I Not Healed?

This is a question I have long been faced with, and I just found out why.  I have not been singing G-d’s praises, and I have not asked to be enabled to sing praises where I am supposed to be, or for the reasons that G-d wants his praises sung at all, nor in the way he wants them sung.  I will be healed, enabled, and blessed only when I do what I am told to do by G-d, and then do all that I am told while praising G-d so that everyone can hear how much G-d is doing in my life.

We do not praise G-d for his sake.  G-d is all sufficient, all knowing, all powerful.  He knows whether we love him and appreciate him.  G-d likes to be admired, praised, thanked and loved…just as we do.  But he wants us to praise him vibrantly, deliberately, even ostentatiously…but not just to make him feel good.  We are to praise him in order to get his work done.

We cannot praise him for being sick, or poor, or persecuted…yet it is what we often do.  If we are sick, we need to ask for healing, with the reason we need healing…, not merely for our comfort and enjoyment, but in order to praise him and do his will as we do it.  If we have no opportunity to praise him in the ears of others, we need to ask him for doors to open, and means to be provided us.  If we are persecuted, we do not praise him because of being in danger, or fearful, but because he takes persecution and fear away by protecting us in lavish, obvious displays of protection.

Still, miracles are not given merely because he loves us, although in our distress he does help us.  Too often, he uses illness and circumstantial problems to humble us, to lesson us, chastise us, and to teach us to obey him.  Thus the only reason Abba gives any of us a full and perfect healing, or gives us knowledge, understanding, safety, and wealth is to enable us to do what he has told us to do.

We are not healed, or protected or given wealth for doing what we want.  The more we do what the god in our heart wants us to do…whether it is ourselves, or our church, or our family, or the Evil One…the less G-d does for us, because he will only enable us and reward us for doing as he desires.  If we do what we want, G-d turns us over to ourselves, and allows us to live in difficulty, in sickness, to be persecuted, poor, endangered and fearful.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NKJV) 19  I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;

Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV) 7  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Psalm 9:9-14 (NKJV) 9  The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble.
10  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
11  Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people.
12  When He avenges blood, He remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the humble.
13  Have mercy on me, O LORD! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death,
14  That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11 (NKJV) 7  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8  for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10  to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11  But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

G-d has promised us that more miracles than Yeshua ever did will follow us who love him, but it is not a ‘feeling’ kind of love.  It is a ‘doing’ kind of love.  It is for this reason that we need to ask him to heal us, or enable us, or give us opportunity and a sufficiency to ‘DO’ his work.  G-d only interferes in our natural lives, and overturns the choices we have made, and the results that have followed those disastrous choices in order to do his work.  G-d only changes our circumstances to make us able, not to do what we want or what we think we should do.

I have been very sick for my entire life…a genetic problem.  Slowly, G-d has led me to make the necessary actions to be well.  I am getting better.  But there are other problems in my body that are the residue of a lifetime of illness, bad habits, and not walking uprightly.  They too must be healed and changed if I am to do anything other than sit behind a computer.  I must change, and write the entire Covenant on my heart, and show it by my actions.

I need a lot of enablement to do all of that.

We are enabled only to do whatever is needed by G-d.  We are blessed by him in all ways is we do as he asks…even to become a part of The Remnant that will be protected against the Evil One when he rises as Anti-Christ.

I was recently brought to knowledge that I am Jewish, and that means taking on the Mosaic Covenant…difficult as it may seem to be for one raised as a Gentile in the West.  It also means that Gentiles who want to be part of Israel must look at what G-d wants them to do, and to do it in righteousness exactly as it is written in Scripture.  It is not for salvation that we do anything, for Yeshua gives us salvation in exchange for trusting in him, but for the blessings of health, wealth, and protection, we must do G-d’s work and we must do his work in the way he wants it done.

Thus, if you are sick, or poor, or afraid, or bogged down in your circumstances, well, Abba can change all of that even as we learn to bear more fruit for him.  He gives us salvation simply because he loves us.  Blessings, health, enablement is only given for what we do or don’t do.  Yet what we do least is ask him to help us praise him…so that others will hear, will see, will ask questions…like “What just happened to you?  I thought you were really sick!” and “Why are you so blessed?”.

Blessings are given to us so that people who do not know G-d as they should will learn to know him better as they do what G-d wishes, while those who do not know Yeshua will open their hearts to our praise of YHVH, and begin to seek what we are walking out because of how G-d blesses us for doing what he wants.

Pray that you may be healed, taught, strengthened, enabled, and made in every way whole and provided for.  Pray for understanding, and the voice of the Ruach haKodesh in your heart.  Pray for truth, for correction, to receive instruction and righteousness, and for your heart to be cleansed and strengthened so that you can do all that G-d wishes.  Abba wants to bless you in every way, as a sign, as a witness, and to make you able to do what he wants you to do.
